Why “post no bills”?

Because my name’s Bill, I hate advertisements, and it reminds me of NYC.

Update, 33 days later

Three more variations, all new to me. The white plywood is a result of Local Law 47 of 2025, which loosened the old hunter-green mandate to allow white and metallic gray, among other options. I’ve legit never seen “POST NO BILLS” stencilled on one line, much less set diagonally across the wall. Same for red on hunter green—not to mention paint laid on so heavily it drips.
