The Wall Remembers
A stand-in for the oldest bill on the wall — backdated so the index has more than one year to carry.
This bill is a placeholder, backdated on purpose. It sits at the far end of the index so the archive spans two years instead of one, and the year heads have something to separate.
A wall keeps a ledger whether or not anyone asks it to: paste scars, staple rust, the pale rectangles where last winter's notices gave up and peeled. The index on a real bill is that same ledger, only typeset — every notice that went up, in the order it went up, on a single sheet.
When there is real writing to post, it lands here. Until then, this is what the oldest entry looks like: dated, titled, and honest about being a rehearsal.
